So i'm going into the camp in 2 days... And i know most of the stuff that will be happening...
But no one was able to answer this for me.... I know if you fail IPPT, you're required to stay back on the weekends.. until you pass....
1. What if, for some odd reason, i failed IPPT beyond the 3 months in Tekong? Will i be staying back on the weekends for the entire 2yrs of NS? Or will it only be for my 3months at Tekong?
Will i be posted to something crappy such as "unit" for failing my IPPT?
2. If i were to report a medical condition 1month through my training in Tekong, and will be assigned to an office job, will i be required to re-do the entire 3months in Tekong again?
3. Are dry foods such as biscuits allowed? :)
u will be posted out to Unit and there u have to pass yr IPPT at the start..
dont fret. Failing IPPT sometimes will get u posted into lobo units , some claim.

1. If you fail IPPT beyond the 3 months in Tekong, you will have to go for re-BMT just before you ORD. As for the rest of the time outside of Tekong, you won't need to stay back on weekends, but your chances for promotion are close to zero if you are combat fit. But then again, it also depends on your unit's policy for IPPT failures.
2. You will have to go for re-BMT, which will usually be near the end of your NS. I heard of people who managed not to go for re-BMT though, but don't get your hopes up too high.
3. Yes, biscuits are allowed, unless you are from an obese batch.
1. I dont need to take IIPT so i'm not that sure.
But i believe there are people who fail IPPT.
No matter what, i believe it should not fall outside the 3mths.
Most units are crappy...anyway IPPT doesnt affect.
2. If you OOT or down/up PES, then you will need to do a BMT re-course.
3. Yes.

There is NO reBMT for failing of IPPT. IPPT is not 1 of the required components to complete BMT.
Re-BMT is only for people who OOT during BMT only.

true.
ok here goes
in order NOT to recourse u need to clear field camp and range.
ippt passed + clear field camp and range = passed BMT
ippt failed + clear field camp and range = attended BMT
lol enlisting in 2days? good luck and have fun :)
Failing IPPT in BMT means not being able to get into SISPEC or OCS. only become a man. As for RT in units, nt every week have. Rarely actually. And biscuits are allowed.
Ye sergeants during BMT will frighten u to pass IPPT or they say u will go for re-BMT. This is all bullsh*t.
Simply not true because they will need to answer to MINDEF on why they retain u. MINDEF does the manpower allocation to units. Not Tekong.
They will post u to a UNIT. And maybe there , if its a combat unit, u have to pass yr IPPT from the start, Difference is that others who passed during BMT will only have to take it one year later.
All th eabove applies only if u have stayed on the full duration of the BMT.. but failed the IPPT at the end.

Sorry about the misinformation, but that is what my brother told me.

1. if the NSF has to go for RE-BMT at the end of NS life , only if he is physically fit and he has OOC @ the start of BMT. Mindef will have note that these people have not completed BMT and send them again 2-3 months before ORD
2. Those who went for Re-BMT were actually OOC, due to medical or physical condition which they recovered. IPPT failure is not the reason
3. Biscuits will always be allowed.

There are still people who fail IPPT who go to SISPEC
failing IPPT makes u a man. so even being a man u have to pass ur IPPT if not u will be stuck with LCP for life.

Not true, obese batches really often not allowed snacks der
As for question2, I think he/she reply directly to the question, and is not associating it with the 1st question, so no need to blame him/her for it.
As for the re-BMT due to fail IPPT, it is commonly said to scare the recruits
BTW, its quite difficult to fail IPPT in BMT unless one is obese. U go thru hard solid training that u will sure to pass it. I have seen hopeless really CMI, corkanaden, sabo king cases @ the start of BMT passing IPPT after 3 months. ( in non obese batches)

TS is obviously obese. He is worried about passing IPPT + asking abt Biscuits. And also depends on what biscuits,i think some type of healthy biscuits ( digestive ect) are allowed.

Oi i still failed my IPPT lo but i still got my 3SG despite never passing IPPT for the 2 yrs :p
IF TS is obese, he will be posted to some slack camp, or driver, medic , clerk vocations. That is also one reason why u have normal batch and obese batch

Not specified mar, generally biscuits are not allowed, but then it also depends on the CSM and OC.
That is why last time my BMT all my PC and PS said the same thing, don't feed the ah pui next door.
And don't so bad la, people think that they cannot pass IPPT you straight away think that they are going to enter the obese batch... I failed my IPPT all the way till my last IPPT in BMT. So TS, don't need to worry der, just work hard.

The intake this week is PES A/B direct BMT and not obese intake.
This means that TS PASSED his IPPT within the past year and hes just worried what will happen should he fail since its common that alot of ppl slack and stop training after they pass their IPPT.
