In Camp Use: Umbrella/ Poncho/ Goretex Jacket?

Nowadays it is raining very heavily often. And I am peeved as to why we can't use umbrella in camp. My OC told me not to. Do you all agree with the logic??

In tekong not allowed cos all tekong buildings are linked. In units not allowed meh? I dunno use umbrella how many times liao.

I ord-ed a few years back.
I sorta got mixed up with officers,on course and cadets.

I forgot if it was the SAF dress code or a standing order.
It was specifically aimed at quashing the rumors of soldiers cannot use umbrella.
Anyway, it says you CAN use umbrella if only there is no other covered route.
