Hey people here.
My bro went OOT from Tekong, and he was sent to OETI as Armored Tech, which is what i had went through before, A VEH Tech.
He has naturally indented feet, which causes his lower leg to hurt, as well as feet hitting each other occassionally when wearing boots, more frequent when doing PT.
As i know, A VEH is the worst in OETI already la, and he like quite sian after i tell him my experience, and going to gedong part is sian.
I ask him to OOC as soon as possible but his appointment is like after course start, which has maybe like 5% of OOC after that.
So, if he go to polyclinic get referral to specialist, still need to pay from his own pocket? or die die need the camp MO specialist.
If camp MO he gg..
From what I can remember... If he goes to the polyclinic and gets a referral from the polyclinic to a government hospital he may have to pay for the initial consultation, but as a subsidised patient. Subsequently, he can claim from the SAF under a co-payment scheme.
If he goes straight to a government hospital and seeks a specialist, he will pay private consultation rates for the first visit, subsequent visits should be under SAF co-payment.
I may be inaccurate with my information as it has been years, so perhaps people who are serving now might want to clarify, as I'm not too sure how the polyclinic system works?
What LazerLordz said is spot on.That was what I experienced back in 2006 but I doubt that they have changed the rules much.
No need. 11b is better than visa on medical bills in gahmen hospital... strike and it will never burst. All free...
I know cos I went to polyclinic, SGH, AH, NUH and it never fails to pay the bill... specialists and A&E alike... unless they change their policy.
For those who wanna throw their stones on me... Hey... I was sick... down with lung infection that was certified by the specialists and also other incident like accidents and real sickness...
