Juz happened to stumble upon this topic and decided to give my 2 cents worth. Because like the TS, i too once aspired to be a CDO. So, sorry if i happen to veer off from the convo. To the TS, U remind me every much of myself when i was at ur age, i too checked the mail box everyday waiting for the VA letter to arrive, which obviously did not arrived. So, don't be despaired if u din make to CDO, it doesn't make u a lesser man. Correct me if im wrong but i do think CDO's select their people randomly, but of course u would have to meet certain criteria too like being physically fit, Pes A or B.......and the list goes on.
Hence, my advice to u would be to concentrate on your studies now since u are now a jc 2 student and would be embarking on ur A levels soon. It doesn't matter if u were or were not a CDO when u were serving ur NS. It matters more about what happens after ur NS, which, im sure u clearly understand what i mean. Pus u don't need to be a CDO or a NDU personnel to serve with pride during ur NS. The Army does not function only because of their presence. Even drivers or clerks contribute a part to the army too. There is no need for comparisons here.
Hope this helps. :) FIRST IN, LAST OUT.
