Pre-Enlist: Enlistment Month ?

Hey, I am from poly. Wanna ask if passing NAPFA really gets me into the Oct batch?
Cus I m trying to apply into a car workshop to gain practical skills in fixing cars. So getting the 6 months period is really important to me. I have been training hard to pass the Napfa.
My pullup only 4 now.. Any tips to get to >10? haha.

Either Jul or Oct batch if u pass IPPT and Jun or Sept if u fail. U don't really get to choose.

Orh. lol. But from what I see most of my friends who passed napfa with silver go Oct Batch.

Birthday has no effect on intake. Its rather random cos both the Jul and Oct batches are for people who pass NAPFA and the Jun and Sept batches for people who fail.
Birthdays, school etc etc has no effect on your intake.

so if i suay enough get jul or jun how will I know? like when will I get my letter to check up etc?

Checkup date for poly students is generally in the coming months.
You will get your enlistment letter around Mar-May if you enlist in Jun/Jul or later if yours is the Sept/Oct batch.

Unfortunately noone can help u there. Enlistment is something noone can tell you until the day you receive your enlistment notice.

Then I guess I will just apply in an internship basis, write a detailed report on cars in which I have learned from car repair manuals I gotten. Try to convince them to take me in lor. Low pay oso i dun mind.
Best is go army, write another report, try to apply for OETI.

I can tell you that will be useless cos your report will not have any effect.
When i was posted to maintainace base, there was only 1 person in the entire base who studied in the automobile course in ITE. All his friends were posted to other units and non maintainance even though they have all the skills etc. In the end, he was posted out of maintainance base and dunno posted to what unit and i never seen him again so its unlikely he continued with maintaince work.
In fact, some people say that army tend to post ppl who knows the skills elsewhere and not place them where their expertise are. Eg its been said that all who are posted to drivers do not have driving licences etc.

Your do what you can and just see what happens since nothing can be done to change it. Talk to PC, they say they will try help etc but so far i've never seen any 'PC recommendation' for vocation works at all.

Ya i will definitely try. See how lor. Still quite long. Most impt is the batch thingy, see if I can get a workshop to take me in first lol... jin sian leh..
