I hope we can refrain from using vulgarities. Lower education does not mean you are stupid or of lower worth. But people who use threats, foul language and personal attacks instead of civilised debate are fools. It only serves to demonstrate your agitation and therefore exposes your insecurity.
As many have commented, it is impractical for overseas postgrad students to come back for ICT. Isn't it also unfair for self-financing local postgrads to get called up? Since undergrads are exempted, is it so difficult to extend this exemption to postgrads?
As for the foreigners issue, if Singapore continues on this path of preferential treatment to foreigners, very soon the emigration rate will increase and this will be detrimental to the economy. I for one feel Singapore is becoming an "everyone for himself" society with too few policies to protect our locally born citizens. Therefore it is not surprising that so many Singaporeans I know feel they are being treated unfairly in some way. I myself will probably be migrating to Germany with my German fiancee in the near future.
