No need sign on, as long as you have adv nursing dip or degree, HQ AMES does have a course for nursing officer. Technically, it's a support/logistical role rather than front line but if anyone seen an active SAFTOE, most NOs are female rather male. Hence when the reservists units need one, guess where the NOs are going come from?

I think TS means armourer as in those armament technicians, not armour vehicle operators or artillery operators.
The armourers or weapon techs repair your weapons and small arms. There are also turret mechanics who repair the heavy guns on tanks and APCs etc but I think they are trained in a different institute compared to the small arms technicians.
one of the better vocations are quartermaster and transport supervisor. these are the few vocations where pes C personels can be promoted to 3SG rank, without going through sispec training, which they are not eligible for anyway.
of the more siong position, there's combat medic, which means you will have to go outfield pretty often.
you can be vocated as clerks, storeman, driver and other support vocations, which are quite slack.
as a signaller, you would be most likely be assigned to hq, where you most likely will work in office environment.
as regimental police, be camp guard for the rest of ur ns, and be revocated as rifleman during ur reservist.
for naval posting, most likley you will end up in a land-based posting, e.g. radar operator in naval bases etc.

You make it sound like CQMS & TPT supps are easy vocation. I rather be a man then be in those vocation. Super stressful vocation. Storemen and drivers aren't easy people to deal with. Anything that happens to them, you will be the person answerable for them.
For combat medics, doesn't mean automatically die die will chiong sua. This totally depends on which unit you are posted to. A combat medic posted to Tekong will only need to attend to RECs during field camp and not participate at all.
Clerks, drivers and storemen ...slack? Again depend on what unit. Where I come from, the combat support side rarely get enough rest during peak period (which comes every 2 months + for me). I am in transport - stay in personnel and I usually only get to see home only once a week, for a few hours. The storemen I worked with have to deal with stores in god forsaken hours. I've seen the pressure clerks have to deal to come out with documents in a short span of time. Eg; the nominal roll of personnel in each companies. Slack? Sure, physically it is, but mentally draining. Try doing it for $400 a month.
No comment for the rest.
if u graduate with a local poly diploma/A levels/higher nitec, there's a chance for you to get 3SG as ammo tech/veh tech or air force tech.
