hi,
i just finished BMT and am having some problems with my teeth. one of my tooth was knocked slightly out of place by my rifle during urban ops (ouch) when i fell.. and its kinda been irritating my lips for a while. does anyone know whether its a good idea to get braces during NS? and whether we'll be able to get 'softer' food after our posting to unit or command school?
thanks

Regarding food, you eat what is cooked. There is no alternative unless you bring additonal food on your own and just eat the minimal you can at cookhouse since food is indented.
if your teeth is knocked slightly out of place, braces will only aggravate and weaken it. braces have to be worn on normally strong teeth. suggest you see the MO and see a referral to a polyclinic dentist. if its chipped or misaligned, you can crown it and it won't be for beauty purpose. chipped tooth if not repaired will erode further with friction.
