Pre-Enlist: Wise to Tattoo while NS ?

Evening, i plan to get a tattoo done on my back. As i know there's a stigma associated with them i'm wondering would this stigma be a strong presence against me by my instructors. Also would it affect my chances (alr slim due to the unit) to command schools (sispec, OCS).
I'm enlisting into The Commando Training institute.

its alright to make tattoos before enlisting, as long as it doesnt appear when wearing a uniform ie: smart four or whatever. I've seen officers even senior officers having tattoos that can be found on a gangster. Getting tattooed while in service is an offence if i am not wrong cos tattoos have to be recorded under the medical docket. But do anything you want dont get caught.
