i am currently posted to a transport supervisor course at STC.
i have a dust allergy and i am highly sensitive to dust as well as tonner exhaust. i have severe asthma and it will act up when i am exposed to dust and exhaust. so as a transport sup i dont think i am fit for this vocation.
i went to see the mo and he said that he will apply me for revocation.
however he did not tell me much about it, and i dont have any letter to pass to my superiors regarding whether i ooc or not. i thought the process was immediate but apparently it is not.
i also think he sent me for an MMI, what is that? does that determine whether i ooc or not?
around how long will it take for me to find out if i ooc or not?
do have i have to go down to MMI for a review? i really have no idea what the mo did.
i really want to know if i ooc or not and i am quite anxious.
anyone knows whats going on?
Actually you can still be a transport supp and request to become a detail spec meaning you work in the office and not on the ground from what i know.
If hes sending you for MMI then wait for notification to go down for the it. If a MMI is scheduled then mostly you will only know whether you OOC anot after that. If no MMI is required, the MO would still have to do paper work etc and inform STC etc etc and all these process takes time so don't expect things to happen overnight. Army is famous for its slow efficiency.
i guess your house must be damn clean and hypoallergenic
what is an MMI anyway?
does it determine whether i ooc? how about my pes status?
and how will they inform me of the results of the MMI?
yes my house is very clean thank you.

sarcasm at it's very best
also, how will i be informed of the MMI? must i go down? or will they just assess my stuff such as my medical condition.
sorry i have alot of questions.
usually for OOC, is it immediate like you go to the mo and he just ooc you straight or is this MMI thing common?

at least 1 month...
they said my MMI is next wed, so it will still take a month?
just to simply send it over to me?
is there anyway i can call to get my results or something.
MMI is just going there for the checkup sort of thing. They take a long time to analyse and consider your case. Furthermore, you are not the only guy who goes to MMI so of couse things will be slow with the number of people going all the time.
If the results is not ready call also no use. Just wait for them to post it to you or your unit.

Personally after having work with numerous transport supervisors during my NS time, i would say its not really that bad a vocation compared to many others. Its a relatively easier 3SG appointment but too bad the environment does not suit you.
for me its really not for me, im really hoping to just get a simple stay out clerk job and get it over with for my 2 years in NS.

There are times i see transport sups even slacker than clerks. While clerks are like forever busy, i every so often hear that those transport sups are in bunk or slacking somewhere when i call them come to my office to meet me. Transport sups are mostly stayout but i quite a number of clerks are stayin so hopefully you don't regret.
Clerks used to be my ideal vocation as well but after NS i realise i enjoy my vocation more. I get to sit in the office, do some work similar to clerk with a 3SG rank, sometimes busy till OT sometimes slack till slp in my office :p
