Charge for Lightsticks ?

MP found lightsticks in my bag when I booked out today. All I know is I am doomed for sure. No matter how i explain to them, they are not convinced. I explained to them that I bought them from beach road and just to do some science experiment in camp during free time, now that my company is under lull period. How how how???
Kind fellow NSmen / sgforumers. I need advice from you. Please..

inform your superior and ask him for help. if really can't bring this matter to your OC/CO and explain the whole situation. try to get a friend to say that he was with you went you bought the lightsticks.

Yes, they kind of suspected I smuggled them out. After that they said they will report this to Brigade CSM for investigation.

41SAR, Keat Hong Camp? I don't think you will be charged, however if they are giving extra duties just accept it and treat it as bad luck. However, if they are going to charge, don't keep quiet and let it happen. The CSMs like to push people one so don't give into them. Bring this matter up to your OC/CO if you're getting charged and if it doesn't works, just inform the next ranking officer in the CoC. I believe if your CO is not listening you can inform your parents and let them bring this matter up to the MP.

i think can check with the NSN number...SAF distribution has a "normal" NSN number for all items issued..but for surplus..the NSN number has an alphanumeric suffix at the end iirc

Alright. As Master-_- as pointed out, there's the NSN number so if you really bought it from Beach Rd, your name is cleared. If they try to push any blame to you in this matter, tell them about the NSN and clear your name. Don't take any blame for crimes you did not commit. And also remember to thank Master-_- about the info about the NSN.

see whether its the same brand as the ones indented in SAF, but since you bought it from Beach Rd.....it could be the same. Did you bought it from the malay auntie whose stall is the nearest to the staircase if you were coming from the police post direction?

I am not sure which store I bought them from. So, what's up with the malay auntie store? Any difference? And my friend told me some products are resales that are bought from outside people- that can be smuggled ones. I guess depending on the NSN to clear my name has got problem too.

Just a hunch, saw a bunch of new helmets on the floor of the shop before, anyway she sell stuff quite expensive compared to the rest so i never bought anything there before.
Anyways, stick to your side of your story if you get marching orders to CO/OC. Your science experiment thing is a bit dodgy though. How many lightsticks were you caught with?

you are in deep shit, my advice: if its SOL or fine, take it. If not you might face detention. if you wanna bite the bullet, make sure you got solid evidence. SAF always find ways to nail anyone, even the innocent

life is bored in camp during lull period and i cant do things that interest me. so i thought i can buy some lightsticks and experiment on them to pursue my interest in science research.

Easy. If you are doing that science experiment using that 40 lightsticks, then demonstrate to them lah. Teach them a Science lesson.
By the way, I am curious. What kind of experiment requires 40 lightsticks? share?

You could have just slept, read, or talk cock......It's not that I think you are being bo liao or what.....but the risk was there when you did that.
Still, I don't think you'll be given DB even if charged. The most, maybe SOL.
