Over-Payment Of Contract Gratuity

Ok...got my end of contract gratuity last december. They sent me the letter saying i will receive XXX amount of money. Now they sent email saying that they over-paid me for the gratuity, and i have to pay back the difference later this month. Who is responsible for this, i want to know.

Demand the chief clerk or the clerk and jerks in S1 to calculate your gratuity amount (i'm no regular, but there must be a calculation for it) If not be prepared for the money to be deducted in your next month's pay, assuming you extend contract
