Heya guys, just wanna enquire abt recourse, i've been scheduled to attend the recourse somewhere this mth but im confused as why im attending the recourse as i think i had completed the minimun requirement.. had referred this to my OC and he checked out for me i had cleared IMT Range, 7 Days field camp but i failed my IPPT. cleared 2 out of 3, is tht sufficient or must clear all 3?
had sent a mail to CPC.
huh? fail IPPT recourse?
where got such thing?
I think got mistake...
Not possible. I fail my IPPT. Attended only 4 days of field camp (suay enough, that was the only time in last year when I took MC).
And I pass my BMT leh.
Criteria to be exempted from BMT Recourse (guidelines from HQ BMTC)
PES A/B/C1 Personnel
- complete any 2 out of the 3 items (IPPT, Live Range, IFC) as certified in the Soldier Proficiency Record Book (red book) by the relevant personnel (Coy PC)
PES C2/C9 Personnel
- since C2/C9 personnel are exempted from IPPT, completing either IFC or Live Range is sufficient criteria for exemption from recourse. (must be certified in Soldier Proficiency Record Bk).
S1 Branch has to photocopy the pages, CTC it and fax over to HQ BMTC. Final decision to exempt you from recourse lies with HQ BMTC of course.

clear range and 7 days field camp is good enough to pass BMT.. did u take a lot of ATT B/C along the way?

Just to double check, when you say cleared "IMT Range" did you clear the IMT(Computer Shooting) only without attempting the live shoot? If that is the case, you would only have passed 1 out of the 3.
Another point often forgotten is that there is a minimum percentage of training lessons you have to attend to pass BMT too.I think it is around 85% IIRC.So even if a person passes all three requirements and score gold in IPPT but attend B or C on the rest of the other days, will still consider fail.It is better to attempt the training session and fallout halfway then fallout from the start because if you at least tried, they will count it as present.
so are u a pte or rec now? techincally speaking if ur a pte nw, it means that u passed bmt. cos ppl who flunk bmt less pes E are RECRUIT forever.
fail ippt recourse is long long time ago de standard... now i think no more such thing le right? even if ya fail ippt you still can proceed de ma

I cleared the Computer shooting and the live shoot as well. I guess it's to do with my attendance, sigh.
I'm a PTE, but i nv got any promotion lol, ORD in 4 mths time.
there's a new guideline, i think just need to pass one of the three can exempt from bmt liao. anyway if u're pte, how come still need recourse? u upped pes from e to c ar?

for PES C2/C9, it differs on cases too. i'm a case whereby i didnt take IFC and Live Range and passed BMT, as im not allowed to handle firearms and excuse from field camp.

he was probably promoted to PTE from REC before the new promotion guidelines kicked in during January 2008.
I am currently a REC and have served for a year. After my recourse in 2 months time, will I get promoted to CPL or to PTE?

For PTE,confirm you will get it after your recourse.
For CPL,abit more tricky.First of all, what's your type of vocation?Combat or Service?
Secondly, have you gone for your vocation training(Eg.Storeman go for storeman course)?
If combat vocation, then you can be promoted to CPL provided you went for your vocation course, served at least a year and PASSED your IPPT.Your OC must recommend too or no point. It is possible to jump from REC to CPL if all conditions above are fufilled.BMT must be completed too.
For service vocation,to get CPL,you must have served at least 14 or 16 months,be vocationally qualified, pass your IPPT(if applicable) and your OC recommend. Also possible to jump from REC to CPL if conditions are satisfied.BMT must be completed too.If still have not served long enough or IPPT have not passed yet, then can be promoted to LCP first after your vocation course.
If your vocation is the service 3SG type(Eg.CQMS),then will be slightly different.
What happens when an individual ORDs as a Recruit (ie without completing his BMT)?
that's what i wanna ask too, failed FFI today for bmt till ORD, Pes review frm medical board.
