  Hi guys. I enlisted on the 15th this month and may I know when will my allowance be banked in. I heard from my 2IC that for our batch, it's a bit earlier this month (26th?) but then I already updated my bank book to no avail.

   

  Secondly, where other than Beach Road can you purchase army items? It is impossible for us to go to Emart since our company is located at Rocky Hill. I heard you can purchase at Chevron with your 11B. Is this true?

  hmmm as for pay matters best is ask ur chief clerk or 2IC...

  yes u can purchase at chevron... or online order..

  standard allowance pay day is 10th of every month...

  Hmmm, I saw your usernick before.  You live in Woodlands, right?  Anyway, even if you dun, there's a shop in front of Nee Soon Camp (transit road, along sembawang rd) that opens up to 7pm that deals with army stuff.  Forewarn that you can't use credit there.  I usually do my shopping there seeing it beats going to beach road as I stay in the north.

  There's also a small shop (those "booth" kinda stores) that sell army stuff in pasir ris interchange.  Opens on friday to sunday only.  Great place to get ur stuff before booking in.

  And yes, chevron in boon lay way has an emart which u can use ur credits.

  I recommend to go Bugis one...beside bugis MRT.....

  If i am not wrong, recruits only have $50 worth of credits .... so please keep in mind of ur spending ...and yes, u will get some allowances for 26th or so, due to the fact that u enlist on the 15th. But the following months to come, u just recieve u pay on the 10th.

  $50 for recruits? what do they need to buy? Everything is so new for them?

  Aiyo last time recruits lost anything have to fork out own money.....now even before they start training, they already have $50 credit....and their allowance is so much higher and people still can complain money not enough etc...

  Haha...can buy more green bottles....i always lose mine. Buy more green socks...i always march until got hole. And for those who bk out in civvy but when booking in smart 4 and forget to bring back their PT shoes.....go buy new one~!

  If u keep forgetting your PT shoes, $50 cannot buy a lot of time....
