Hi. mostly are questions that i have about Air Operations System Specialists (AOSS)
for those who sign on for it...and some other Qs:
Questions:
1) i will be going for my Lower Jaw Operation after my AOSS course...which is 3
months from now. would my contract become void and null due to this?
2) 1 month ago, during BMT in tekong, i have reported to MO regarding my sunken
chest issue. but because i wish to sign on for AOSS, is it possible for me to cancel
my medical appointment?
3) Can you give some examples of weird workshifts for AOSS?
E.g. 7am -6pm? Need real examples
4) What sort of Questions will be asked during AOSS interview?
5) during AOSS course (3 months), what sort of Physical Training (PT) will there be?
6) will weekends be "holidays" during AOSS after training?
Just very curious to know all these. I hope someone can give me answers to all of these questions above.
Thank you!!! :)

about your medical problems i do not know.
shift hours can be 24 hours or 5pm-9am, 7-7, 8-5 depends on where you're posted too.
you can be posted to places like tower, 203 sqn, bcp, hq etc..
during the AOSS course the PT is only every wed morning 5bx which is self conducted and games hour from 3-5 also on the same day.. most of your physical training is actually done by playing sports during the nights which you stay in.
weekends and public holidays depends.. if you're manning radar or dealing with air defence definitely you won't be on a mon-fri job scope. in fact every place an AOSS goes to seems to be on shift except for those instructors at Air Force School i think.
