Hello! I am thinking of signing on with the RSAF as a Medical Officer and am wondering if any regular SAF MOs would be able to share your experiences with me please. I was commissioned as an officer (not an MO) during my NSF period and went overseas for my med education. I have just finished my housemanship/intern year overseas and am now back in Singapore. I am thinking of joining the RSAF because I would like to do Aviation Medicine and would enjoy variety in Medicine (e.g. mixture of resus duties, GP clinics, overseas disaster relief work, etc). I would be most grateful for your input. Thank you in advance.
u r better off here:

the standard boring duty MOs at paya leber medical centre would KILL you Dr. if you wanna do Aeromed rather you try ur luck with the private agencies.
Actually you can try 1 medical Squadron at SBAB which does the crucial Search and Rescue duty in Airforce, I've seen MOs who had gone there and they nv regretted the posting. As far as I know this is the most exciting post for Sign on RSAF MOs.
There is this Aviation Medical Officer Bagde. From what i know, it also deals with the mental well being of pilots. And yes, it does go onboard aircraft to do SAR and medical work. Maybe u could ask recruitment centre ....
