if u dotter is ard same age as me
foodwise, i've never had any cause for complaints ...
except for when we go for range in tekong ... the officers told us that it's likely cos we are outside units giving extra work to the tekong cookhouse when we indent from there, that we were giving some really terrible food ... old, tough, veggies, dry chicken wings, two fish balls was what i remember one meal .... we asked for combat rations .....
oh, and other than overseas time of course ... the food's universally terrible ...

my makan was always water and biscuits. no combat rations, because they are buried beside my basha
i always put the foil ontop of my land rover engine or something

Wah, so many years on Tekong food never improved? Cannot be right?
Btw my times, Tekong still the old long house style of bunk, took RPL when booked in and out, boarding it at commando Jetty. Well at least, no need to march to and fro to Jetty. But I remember my bunk faces changi airport, at night when times permit we used to sit on a bench facing the airport bitching abt the training etc.

never! without their parent trucks sell us packet food and drinks, we'll have to survive on that doggie buscuits
Did my 3 months plus BMT (1992) wearing the old WW-II iron pot helmet. Try wear it during the SOC. Die man! Kena tekan by the famous Monkey God PTI in Nee Soon Camp up down left right. Wah piang. And the old medi centre during that time is really haunted.
now combat rations comes with fruit bar..i think its the best thing among em.
i'm from the 2.5G-3G phase~~ Enlisted in 2005, ORD in 2007,,, Training, tekan is the same,, But the food is terrible.. I remembered my BMT day,we had soon kueh and peng kueh for breakfast, but when we dig in,is all flour and little filling... We complained to PC,and PC go tell the cookhouse ppl... Now combat rations got M&Ms,fruit bars, canned or packet drinks..
and those green square hat with the crest above. We had to kiwi those belt until black during bmt but bleach them "white" when become old bird
