JUNIOR police officers will get a retention bonus this year as part of measures to keep them in the force in their first eight years of service, said Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng.
Mr Wong said recruitment and retention of these young officers has been adversely affected by the tighter labour market.
Since 2004, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) has lost many police officers - from 221 in 2004 to 332 in 2007, a 50 per cent increase.
Lots of Soldiers have quit their job too...
i rather they give bonus from completion of: BMT, any courses, ORD, every 1 month of NS without any extras...etc... haha
haha... SAF jz cant wait to get rid of regulars...
SAF retention bonus will kick in when Sg has serious political problem with its neighbour.....
From what i heard that all MHA get the so call bonus only the amount is different, follow your service , the long your service the lesser u get. Some get more than $30 thousand in 4 year time.
