Me second time running 21km

First-timer here.. Never ran a marathon before... So here goes my nooby qns.. How to tie the championchip to the lace such tt its easier to remove immediately after the race and yet still wun drop off while running?

Army Half Marathon always reminds me of the dead of a PTE marshalling soldier from 40SAR back in 1995 where he was killed by a speeding car at Fort Road on the early morning for this event.

Back in 2004,i was supposed to run the 12km route.
But i was too engrossed in following a cute girl who was running the 5km route.
After a while,i suddenly realised that the people around me were either the elderly or the young and the girls.No army guys...

make sure run under 2hrs 45 mins (for 21km) to get finishers medal...anyway eat alot of bananas cause muscles definitely will hurt after run...thank god me no need to run anymore...

This year AHM is very badly organised. run through marina barrage with all the construction works going on.... and some of the roads are very narrow
worse thing is the stupid muddy field at the padang!

My shoes were already soaked before the race. My socks got damp => kena blisters on both feet.
All the way I didn't have any free rein at all.... I kena elbowed or knocked a few times by overtakers. As deathy has said, there were a lot of bottlenecks.
I got 2hr 15 min 17s (my stopwatch).... that's within the 2 1/2 hr timing I was aiming for, but I was trying to shoot for sub 2 hr.... sigh....
