Hi all, would like some opinions from fellow forumers here.
Have not been to ICT before. But would like to know, besides "Annual ICT", does "Make Up Training" and "Weapon Conversion Course" count as ICT?
Reason because i recently have SAF excuse from ICT. However Mindef keep sending me those sms to report for my Make Up Training. Very irritating and stressful.
I think i need to call my Div tomorrow but hope someone can provide some insights...tks.
Sure count lah....

If didnt attend ICT, give MUT.
->
no go ICT, go MUT. hence,
no go ICT = issue MUT. therefore,
ICT = MUT, MUT = ICT.
Haha, thanks rednano, that's quite an interesting viewpoint :)

stressful? call your nshrc and tell them update mc and system. then wont so stress.
and yes, even if u go for any kind of briefing also considered ICT.
that's the thing, i have checked my "ehealth" in ns.sg and the details of my mc and excuse status is listed there. i even have my medical board pending. i dont understand why they still keep sending me all those ICT sms.
anyway thanks for the replies people, appreciate it. :)

I don't think so... MUT certainly qualifies as ICT.... not briefings... unless it is a course....

considered. low key.
Been so long since ord i have no idea how far "red tape" can go.
I called the officer listed in the training schedule about my enquiry, and he directed me to the front desk for the unit.
Gave me wrong number. But that's not all, each one kept passing me around like ping pong ball.
Person A --> person B --> person C --> person D
I think i went through 4-5 different channels. In the end gave up, called NS hotline and asked them to get my unit to call me back.

u only asked ar? u should lodge a complaint in the hotline...
u can also email the www.ns.sg the complaint... black and white is very important.

tell them u wanna talk to the pa(ns) section, the person in charged of your unit. ns.sg cannot help much. they kena alot of sh!t from nsman all day. cannot blame them as it's their policy not to reveal unit number.
Oh well, i can be patient sometimes so no point in complaining.
At least the unit called me back the following day after i called ns.sg.
Give me number to fax my MC. No problem, like rednano said, clarify with them directly.
But something the clerk said disturbed me. Here i have my MC in front of me with 3 types of excuse(ippt, ict, etc) listed clearly with the dates, and there he is saying he only see excuse for ippt.
Which makes me wonder "what system" is he looking at. Because the last time i checked my medical excuse status in ns.sg, it's the same as the hardcopy i have.
Very funny that he "cannot see" the rest. I'm not so busy these few days that's why thought i might as well inform my unit just in case. What about other fellow nsmen who have valid saf mcs and can't be bothered to make the effort to call their units to update them? Then what kind of info are the ns clerks seeing in their system?
Basket, after typing so much, feel like shooting a letter to ns.sg to complain.

go complain then. what r u waiting for.
admin lapse. tell the clerk to go check with the medical centre. medical centre software and the clerk's software run differently, though got some linkage of database info.
ask the clerk to get his superior to speak to u, if needed. we r reservists liao, no more nsf anymore. complain the way civilian do.
ns.sg cannot do anything. rednano, do u understand how the NSHRCs and ns.sg work. complaining w/o knowing how things work won't get u the desired results.
matchless, im quite sure that the medical centre personnel didn't update for u properly. if u r really that patient and don't want to make a complaint. u can ask your unit to get the med centre to update the system for u and give u a notification when it's done.
