It's all up there in the brain, how you wanna adjust your attitude, about how you wanna benefit to the fullest out of the worst situations..No matter which unit in you end up in, you will always learn something, be it life lessons learnt from life stories told by other people (usually WOs are the naggy ones who keeps telling these life stories la..), or life skills that you learn from the unit that you get posted to..

fudgester is right. u choose how u want to spend the 2 years in ns. the only complaint i had in ns was that my camp was too far at changi while i stayed in yishun. but that changed when i started driving to camp.
ns isnt pointless. u will acquire life experience and learn how to deal with different kind of people. i believe that everyone ord a changed peson, be it for better or for worse. 1 thing that doesnt make it pointless is that u learn how to appreciate the peace and how to defend the country too. u can say u dont like sg and all sorts of nonsense. by all means, leave and be a citizen of another country. but dont come complaining to us that u will leave eventually bla bla bla. wait till u have the means to leave for good. if not, u r just another random person on the street who bitches too much abt ns.

I wont complain if they stop paying us like banglas. They are taking two years.. PRIME years.
And they do not need so many clerks in MINDEF offices. Most of them sleep on duty and come late. AWOL also no one know.Streamline is the key!
