- you sign on
- your savings can get u through 2years of ns plus after that until u find a job.
- you have no choice coz she's pregnant.(ehem. no offence...my guess)

I got a platoon mate who's married and was given a 8-5 appointment AFTER the training phase. Like it or not, concession usually is not given during training phase.
The 8-5 position is also up to the unit's decision and availability of posts. My advice is just get through it. You're not the only one in your unit.
