actually its just a starting plan, I calculated that with a free degree and bonuses, I will have been able to save ard $150k with zero debts and necessities covered. Which many deg grads would have been paying off their university loan.
If their are jobs with free deg and can break the $150k zero liabilities mark I will take that other one, provided I have the chance too.
And working as ammunition engineer officer, I can tell future employers I have truly been doing engineering in a vocation.
im an army medic and as such,i am exposed to a lot of things so i will give u my two cents worth of advice.i was just like you b4 enlistment.i,too, wanted to sign on as an officer but after entering the army,i have totally changed my way of thinking.i do not hate the army but i just cannot wait to get out of it.life in the army is not as interesting as thecommercials show.they just have damn gd publicists.my advice to u would be to try bmt first and if it really ur cup if tea, sign on.do not make a hasty decision and regret for the rest of ur life
Its just male ego I think, and its just for 4 years I have no thinking of signing somemore.
Don't sign just because u want the money or just to get some vocation lah.

i'm not talking about ur fitness.........somethings cannot be changed....

there is a offering of a 3 years officer contract upon being qualified for ocs during bmt. the 3 years takes effect only upon commissioned. if ooc, then contract will be void and null. so if u take this contract, commissioned but then no renew intent, it will be a 4 years of regular NS.
if u sign under LSA or other degree bond, it is an additional bond period (years) on top of the 3years contract... if u take this route..

So should I call the army recruitment centre and fuck that guy upside down who told me that after my NS, go uni for 3 or 4 years and then serve for 4 years? which thereafter I am 30?

LOL ai kong mai kong liddat. My old classmate said to go ocs just run below 9.44 and get top 5% in fitness and pass the computer test well nia. Then shake off the dirt covering your officers' eyes and do all the doggy things.
No one cares to share?

if u directly take LSA after qualified for ocs during BMT, then NS will be 2 years (NSF) + 4 years (LSA Bond) = 6years...
i think the OCS intake would depend on the current batch you're in.
say if your batch all kilat one of course physical fitness also must be kilat la.
if your batch like half-fuck one your physical fitness not there also nvm.
sometimes you got to use your common sense abit bro.
you think the army really so desperate for smart people to be in OCS meh
if this keng-ster score straight As for his Alvl does this mean he also selected for OCS?
for you is good to aim high and far la.
but i must repeat what others said. don't sign on until you've served.
later you don't like army but you already signed on you must LL serve. your friends all ORD you still serving. and you tell yourself you still got 4 more years. experience army life first before signing on. if you think army is the life for you than go ahead and sign on. if not, plan your life route like others.
judging from all you said you're from NP is it?
haha tts not tt bad ah.
i've know an OCS hopeful, who wants to go to police be inspector. but he also wants to get pes E status.
as in, he wants to get pes E, then somehow get selected for police inspector etc, and why?
because he likes ordering ppl around,

No I am from the oldest poly in sg. And eac, I most likely can only take mechanical engineering in NTU cus I dun think that without dip of merit i can get into business courses. All this factor apply la, unless u own a mechanical engineering company and will to employ me for 4k a month then i work for u lor.
My experience is that, as long as you do average or above average result for your current studies, shouldn't be a problem. One of the reason I was rejected was because I repeated a year when I was studying in Poly.
Chin-ups is pretty easy, just make sure go to one chin-up bar and do your max repetition at least once. You will sure to improve de. I am 96kg now and within like 6 weeks, from 1 rep to 9 rep. Simply by doing one set of max rep a day. However I cannot clear 2.4, sian. Haha.
And I hope you don't look on the plump side. My experience was that, even you're fit but you look plump, chances are you won't get in. They want 'good image', or so I was told when I had my interview.
