Hi guys, what are the bus services avaliable to sembawang camp? I am posted to there for SA(Comms) course. I know that there is 169, are there others?
I am living in the tampines area, is there any fastest route to there?
Many thanks!
You can take a bus from tamp to woodlands to take 169 or take a bus to yishun and take 169/856 if i didn't remember wrongly
169 & 856
169: From Woodlands (Bus Int) or Yishun (Yishun Ave 2), dun bother boarding it from AMK
856: From Sembawang (Canberra Rd) or Marsiling (Opp Marsiling MRT Stn, Woodlands Ave 3)... dun bother boarding it from Woodlands Int
981: From Sembawang Int during peak hrs
wow you guys are fast!
any prominent point to look out for to when to alight at sembawang camp?
Well, you'll see the camp building quite prominently. Just ask the driver.

From woodlands, u can drop at the bus stop which is just after the camp entrance so you should be able to see it. Its 1 bus stop after the sunshine bakery bus stop.
From Yishun, its easier to stop at the bus stop after the camp so you should be able to see the camp then press the bell.
Alternatively, just look for army personnel taking the bus and stop with them. Use to see quite a few ppl having to bookin in no. 4 so should be able to see them.

Either alight at Yishun Ave 2 (Yishun MRT) and x-fer to 169
Else alight at Sembawang Rd (ADSD area) and x-fer to 856

Any bus stop between katib and yishun MRT should be fine for you to alight and take 169
I am from 1Amb... now attached to 41SAR workshop. I went to Sembawang Camp for my SA Ordance course. I stay in Simei. I usually just take 969 and get off in Yishun and take 169 to camp. Its quite fast. First day can come late so use the oppurtunity to time the journey.
Went to Sembawang Camp from around Sembawang MRT station yesterday with another three of my friends. Four of us took taxi. $3.60. Each person $0.90 only.
So why take the slow bus?

From Sembawang MRT taking 856 is not really that long as well since the bus goes roughly the same route a taxi would take depending on where u board.
sembawang mrt there got 856 meh? i stay here so long also nv notice leh. for me, if got frens take with u, use a cab is better.

Its not exactly at the interchange but there is a bus stop at the road to the left of the MRT station where 856 travels pass. That is how most of my men travel to sembawang camp if they were to take MRT. Its faster than taking 169 from woodlands or yishun if you are taking MRT but for TS who has a direct bus to yishun, 169 from yishun should be faster.
take 169 from woodlands is the fastest...
169 is the best route. i drove by the camp today and had a look at both bus routes.
Umrik!
