i just realise tt i'm suffering from eczema..
will my pes status be affected due to this?
do i have to inform SAF about this?
(i'm not enlisted btw)
declare declare declare...
unless it's very the severe type, will go pes c...
mild type, normally pes b...
call cmpb 1800 3676767 and ask... for a medical review with cmpb mo...
should i go through BMT first before deciding whether to declare?
will it affect my chances of going to OCS?
and i've just been through a whole lot of a trouble getting myself enlisted early.
if i'm going to downgrade to pes C i will need to get another enlistment date

it's very common to have eczema in young days... by teenage years, majority would have outgrown them...
will your rash kill or severely impair you?

Can anyone tell me PES C9L9 stands for what? What is not required for the soldier to do? And is reservist really 5 years only?

TS, go declare. y bother to go OCS? be a normal person, let nature take its course.
jgho83: C9L9 is your pes status. L9 stands for the land deployability code, whether u can go to outfield or not. C9 is just your overall body condition, how jialat it is. C9L9 is quite bad. just 1 more level to E. mind telling us what condition u have so that we can give better advice? reservice can be till u r 40 year old if u r a men and not an officer. it is usually a 10 year cycle for all of us from pes A to pes C. as for pes e, they are rumoured to be 5 years, how true i'm not sure myself. but i've seen pes E being called back for ICT. so dont ever think that once u get pes E, u are safe.
In fact most eczema is Pes B, only those really very serious case like it affect the breathing etc will be excuse.
You can call MCC admin at 6373 1340.
MCC = Medical Classification Centre
Anyway don't really need to call. You can just walk in any working day, 8-11 am or 1-4pm. Try not to reach around 10 - 11 am though. You'll wait very long. Also try not to come later than 3. We'll be very pissed off. :p
btw i'm juz joking when i said we'll be pissed off.
so do i actually have to make a trip down or can i just make a call?
by the way mine isn't really serious. just few patches on my right leg.
my left leg has a few spots though. mine should be allergy to dust. heard eczema should be passed down by family but apparently i'm like the only one suffering from it
i've seen the doctor and taking medications. recovering now.
but i'm just afraid that it might have another outbreak when i'm in the army

tat's why I say it depends on each indv... but I think of all worst is can kena whole back and belly once there's sweat
well, if you have a letter from your doctor, you can actually fax in or mail in. then after that can call to check. if your letter is clear enough i don't think you need to go down. of course, it's best to go down personally so the MOs have an idea of how serious your condition is.
