Understudy's Fault

I am a storeman and going to ORD in September. Lately I have some problems with my understudy because he keeps chao keng and taking MC. I haven't finished teaching him about my store. Also whatever I have taught him before he MIA, he has forgotten. So I scared my RQ won't let me hand over the store to him, and they will extend my ORD date until my understudy is familiar with the store and equipment. I am worried that I my ORD date will be extended. But what can I do? Its not my fault that my understudy keeps taking MC

Your ORD is an entitlement that nobody can touch unless you allow or you were naughty.

it seems to me more that your junior might have his ORD date extended..

Your ORD date won't be extended because of your understudy. If he can't pick up everything he just have to learn it the hard way or from your RQ. As a upperstudy just do what you can. For me i gave my understudy about 10 days crash course of everything he needs to know with some OT lessons (I still didn't have time to cover everything besides the basic stuff since system works is not something you can master in such a short time) and i just left him hoping for the best.

If my understudy refuses to learn.....it's his problem.

no such thing as U extend ORD because ur understudy cannot handle...
Step 1: Do ur best for ur understudy before U ORD.
Step 2: Pray(understudy pray,not U).
The most RQ can do is to delay ur FFI and store handover date...but when ur ORD comes...he must let U go.

To be fair to the understudies(pural of understudy?)...some upperstudies also suka suka handover one...

sit downt table talk with him. tell him:"dude... now i here teach u, u better learn. now u dont learn, u suffer later... because now kena problems, both of us equally kena from RQ too. BUT somemore 3 months i ciao liao, only left u to carry the problem, if any. once i ciao liao, any camp call i will reject."

u tink ur RQ is CO ah? cant hand over then let them die lo... report ur understudy to the RQ... -

I didn't want my phone to ring 24/7 after i left so i did my best :p I was the only 1 who was well verse with the entire system procedure and besides my own people, i have to help people in other companies in the camp and even people outside SAF with some of their work so if i didn't teach well, my phone will ring with people more than just my understudy calling.
There is a limit to how much i can teach since system though has alot of standard working procedures, the adhoc and occasional system errors are things i am unable to really teach my understudies well since system errors don't always have the same signs and symptoms.

Your RQ (or anyone else, for that matter) does not have the power to extend your ORD.
Unless if you do something really naughty and get yourself thrown into DB.... which I doubt is the case, yes?
The only thing I can say is to hammer it into your understudy's skull that he has to learn now, because after you ORD, he's on his own. And warn him that you will not bother picking up the phone to help him how to do his work after you ORD.
And seriously, don't bother any more about him after you ORD.
You might also want to confide in your RQ about this fella. Your RQ might want to drag this fella into his office to give him a Sir Alex Ferguson 'hair-dryer' session to wake up his ideas.

Write out a short tutorial on how to do it.
Then you can ORD, and he can follow the tutorial. If he call to ask how to do, don't answer.
