Threatened to Extend ORD Date...

  Guys need some advice from the lao jiaos..

   

  Situation: Ord-ing this week, i have not completed my combat shoot 2, my superior say i must go back on second last day to clear it, problem is i applied overseas leave on tat day 2 months ago alr, he said if i do not clear he will extend my ord till i clear it. Thing is i do not want to go back and shoot.

   

   

  Q1)the thing is its my leave on tat day i can dont go bak rite?

   

  Q2)if i take MC on the day of shoot?

   

   

  need advice frm u guys urgent!

  rubbish lah ....

  I've even heard of 3SG tech specs who didn't even clear BMT and ORDing ...

  As far as I know.... there's no such thing.

  They can make you come back for the shoot prior to ORD if they're really ngeow.... but otherwise, barring a stay in DB, they have no right to postpone your ORD.

  the thing now is he haven sign my clearance, he say he will not sign till i clear the shoot, and if i refuse to clear, he will write up to mindef and extend my ord, and also to pay centre to continue my pay..

  im quite positive it's not that easy to get u to extend ord.. in addition my clearance form wasn't completed when i ord, they lan lan oso have to let me go.. but is the officer not ard la so not my problem..

  i didn't even go for any ATP which i'm supposed to. in the end also just orded.

  why shd i forfrit my leave and come back to cover their asses when its their fault, for failing to clear my shoot when i hav such fcuking ample time..

   

  they jus inform me of the shoot 2 days ago..

   

  now problem is the clearance form..

  if i were you, although you're in the right, but this is the Stupid And Farked up organization afterall.

  Just cancel your leave, serve 1 more day by going for the shoot and ord peacefully.

  Suffer 1 more day for your freedom.

  hey hey hey wait a minute!

  i just remember u got my dream ORD!

  since CS will go till night, after send arms, don't go home, camp outside the orderly room till morning, and once orderly ppl come u can ORD LO!!

  but that was because my unit stay out unit.. haha.. duno abt u..

  i have decided NOT to go for the shoot. I will call up mindef if i still can't collect my IC after 5PM on my ord day.

  Well unit cannot extend your ORD date because you did not attend shooting. But they can extend your ORD date if they charged you for insubonination, then you go DB your ORD date get extended.

  haiya, mine also was a cpt.

  wanted me to go shoot but people already indented ammo just enough for their own unit (btw i'm from tekong), so LL 2 days before my ord, he signed my clearance.

  IF you are on leave, i might think that since by duty, you are not supposed to be in the camp, your camp will only be accessible to authorized personel on OFFICIAL DUTIES, how could you be on OFFICIAL DUTIES when on leave? An army camp is a restricted area, if they want to call you back, they have to go law by law also, and issue you a official form.

  We must be an upright soldier, garang soldier apply SAF regulations all the way. LAW BY LAW, no sentimental feelings, SAF SEVEN CORE VALUES, esp the LAST DAY OF ORD, unauthorized entry to camps is an offence

  Might as well, give them the trouble of doing that. LAW BY LAW, I AM SURE THAT for these LAW BY LAW SAF PEOPLE, they would rather go the extra miles for you, one of my fave pasttimes in SAF is to look at directives and RULES AND REGULATIONS, my superiors are often impressed by my vast knowledge of SAF directives policies, as a garang SAF soldier we must uphold all rules and regulations

  Well, you can do what ever you want, it is just whether you want to do it now or later.

  If you defer the shoot, they can always ask you to come back during your reservist to do your shoot.
