Like I stated earlier last week, my mob manning period is just around the corner..
Unfortunately, no one in my department (including my sergeant) has undergone mob manning before, and thus, are very confused about the whole thing.
According to our general knowledge, in the case of us being activated, we are to report back to camp with our FBO, scan our IC then return home.
However, according to our A.O, we will not be called back for this mob manning period.
Then, according to the person in charge of mobilizing the reservists of my current unit, mobilization is only for the reservists, and not NSFs....
Who am I supposed to believe here? I'm really confused...
First things first, establish what are the code words assigned to you. The keep an ear out for them during the manning period. Most of the time if you are activated, the system will ring you up on your mobile to let you know so there's no chance you'll miss it. Unless of course you switch off your HP or go do business and dun pick it up.
even if ur camp is on mob manning, so long as u r not in the nominal roll, u no need to report back... all mob manning personnel on standby r notified by sms a couple of weeks as reminders b4 the actual mob manning period...
mob manning is for both reservists n nsfs ONLY WHEN their names r in the nominal roll namelist... so in short, if names r excluded, even really mobilised, u need not report back.
so the rule is if ur names r not in the namelist nominal list, u need not worry...
take this from a person who was once on standby recall for alert red and mob ops manning during nsf time, and now as a reservist...
