my 1st ict was super shiong.
2 days worth of platoon battle course.
haha, same thing lei, 2 days platoon battle course, shout gap until my throat sore
First ICT.... conversion course if you are posted a new unit / vocation. IPPT ... depends if you have already done it or not.
Mine was ( not typical but just an example) first ICT after 4 years from ORD.
First morning... report at 0800 hrs Tengah Air Base. Went down to the company line. Saw a Commando WO shouting at some NSF men. Conducting muster parade. NCOs ( specs) and junior officers standing to one side. Realised that this was not going to be a holiday camp. The NSFs were in their last 3 months of service and were sent for conversion course so that when they became reservists at our 2nd ICT, they were phased in with us old -timers !
Next 2 weeks... rather shiong ( by reservist standards) conversion course. Learn everything again regarding .... heliborne ops.... new signal sets ... comms.... operations .... tactical deployment of unit etc etc. Everyone had to be trained .... so men, specs and junior officers all mixed in and have to learn every part.
Worse, my first ICT came at the time that the SAF was re-equipping with new SBO and kevlar helmet..... So everything new and not comfortable.
Not much time for breaks. But had a nice end of ICT party sponsored by the new unit.
