has this ever happened to anyone before?
a group of my friends were just joking around and using vulgarities as per normal when a wo happened to chance upon them and scolded the daylights out of them. each were made to sign confinements.
hilarious, yes, but controversial too?

I have only heard that reason being used for extras so far,not confinement.Usually around the 20th of each month when CSMs,need to submit guard detail list. They usually look out from the office or take a slow walk around camp to look for people walking in the open without head dress on.Once in a while, they will come out with weird reasons like "U supposed to call me Sergeant Major not Inchek..tio bo?Nehmine,go sign 3." and the one you mentioned.
i tio 2 extras before when a fellow soldier reported me for using the cb word...
i was wondering at that time if he was a wussy....

he was quite on the prowl before i ord. keep receiving mails from my wsm who receive mails from SMA abt him spot checking guard rooms and offices of camps, summary trailed 3SGs who have moustage and giving CSMs extra duties for failing to enforce discipline
The other day the CCO RSM made us clean the guard room, because Army RSM was visiting for NDP rehearsals. Luckily he didn't come in.
If you examine the GOM and whatevers rulebooks, you'll be shocked by the fact that virtually everything that you do can lead to some sort of punishment. If some old bird really wants to make your life miserable, he dun really need to look hard for an excuse.
Well this is SAF! Happen to me before!

only comissioned officers can call warrant officers inchek.

If you are officer, you can call WOs inchek anytime.
But that WO that I saw explained to the enlisted ranks that if the WO currently holding SM position, then must call SM.If no SM position, then can call inchek. In the end, most WOs that I have met don't mind getting called inchek regardless of position(with exception to SMA),just that a few tend to be more picky.Of course in formal parade,SM must be called SM.
Funny WOs swear all the time.
lol...just a few days ago a BSM said to a group of us: don't fcking take off yr LBV and walk around. u fcking qrf are under my fcking control
i signed 2 extras for tossing a drink can in a dump of a training ground which was littered with everything anyway.
General George Patton once said, "You can't run an army without profanities; and it has to be ELOQUENT profanties."
If you are prepared to sign many many, tell ur CSM, "Patton fought the greatest war in the history of mankind to say that. What did you fight? Depression?"
