RSAF WSO = Co-Pilot / Navigator/ 2IC/ Backseat Cockpit ?

  Hi. Im new here in this forum.

   

  I did my compass test during early this year and was found not suitable for pilot vocation. However, was instead invited to join the WSO(fighter) vocation. Is this suppose to be a good thing or was i just chucked there?

   

  I have to go through some WSO(fighter) test again. Anyone has gone through it before? Kindly share with me what kind of test is it, and what do they test u on.

   

  My A lvl results are not very good. I got BBE for my H2 subjects. C for my h1 sub,and a disappointing S for my gp. Will i still qualify for OCS,LSA and the WSO(fighter) vocation?

   

  If i were to sign on for RSAF for the WSO(fighter) vocation as a career and fail mid-way through the course, will i have a chance to repeat? Or will i go kicked out of the career totally?

   

  Any seniors here from RSAF please clear my doubts. Thanks.

  edit: If i were to sign on for RSAF for the WSO(fighter) vocation as a regular and fail mid-way through the course or not make it to OCS, what will happen? Will i go kicked out of the career totally this way?

   Ans: its neither good nor bad. follow your interest. you are not chucked there. you are recommended to go there.

   Ans: i dunno man. i was told the compass test encompasses the wso ftr tests too. maybe they are giving u another shot for it...a more specialized 1.

   Ans: OCS, yes. LSA, most probably (BBE not too bad what. it's like CCC), WSO(ftr), yes.

   Ans: its not as hard as pilot training for sure. but i heard its the hardest wso vocation ard. any chance to repeat? i think one shot only for WSO. pilots get no 2nd chance. and after ur one last try, and u still fail...bye bye.
