just replace? we're talking abt a camp pass not an underwear u understand or not? if an outsider takes the pass and enters the camp? this is an extremely high risk situation, how? ignore?

go suck eggs la. u dont even have rank in saf u still want to talk to me. what high risk situation. rps u think so stupid everybody sleeping meh?
pls la. dont disgrace officers la. if u didnt perform in bmt to get into ocs sign on what officer? u dont make me laugh la. sign on as a pussy la. u feel proud to wear the officer rank next time meh? go sispec la. u dont make me laugh. i feel ashamed of u as an officer.
if i asked for ur opinions i will tell u.
Originally posted by Saf4life:if i asked for ur opinions i will tell u.
that goes the same 2 u. if somebody loses his camp pass he will report it to the rps. all camp pass have photos and pass number. the pass is already blacklisted. rps know who are the camp personnel and who are not. they might seem slack stand at the gate do nothing but when new personnel or unfamiliar persons try to gain entry they will be on the alert and ask.
if an outsider picks up the pass and try to use it to gain entry you think ppl so stupid. photo on pass and person looks different. and pass number is reported loss. and the rps still never stop? even if pass not reported lost, looking at the photo tells part of the story. and common sense if a stranger tries to book into a camp with a camp pass and you quite sure you never see this stranger before in this camp, you wont stop and ask or look closely at the pass?
last but no least, pls lah use yr head and think before you open your mouth can? i think u more suitable for sispec. not ocs. grow your pubic hair ok. dont make simple issues drama mama over a camp pass. you haven even got the officer rank and you still want to talk nonsense to me. simple bmt you cant even perform well enough to enter ocs you still want to sign on as officer? i feel ashamed to stand beside you man. enter ocs this way.
oei oei oei, bryanw and Saf4life, u two don't let anger get to your heads.
Saf4life is in the wrong first for talking in that kind of tone to bryanw
bryanw then argued back with Saf4life, both of you are at fault.
Bring your arguements somewhere else, or i'll ask the mods to do something about your bad behaviours in this forum.
Dunno who Saf4life is or whether he's really a regular or just a wannabe. But it seems he's very enamored with the SAF most of us have totally given up on.
i don't want to see anymore arguements.

*bryanw beat me to it liao, i shldn't repeat*
i wld haf to say lost pass is serious regardless of the situation. bottomline...its discipline. if such things cannot handle, den bigger things how? well....each has its own views. but it doesnt matter. what matters is SAF's views. so no point arguing.

wat u have described is ideal.
however, the reality is often not as sweet. and again, much of it is due to complacency (if we dont bring in other factors like attitude or simply lack of interest). u can have RPs who are really not interested in what u flash at them - be it credit cards or some other camp's pass.
the other problem is in the variety of passes we have. yes a vigilant RP will stop someone with an unfamiliar pass. but when that someone bears rank, chances are this may not happen.
then there is the problem with outdated photos on the pass. of cos, if the photos are visible or still complete in the first place.
finally, although a seasoned RP may recognise faces, most of our RPs are NSFs. They change and when that happens, such memory is lost.
what all these tell us is that there is no foolproof security system. all parties in the community must play a part - whether those who have been given certain security rights, those who police these rights and prevent breaches in security, etc. the system is only as strong as the weakest link in this chain. complacency or lack of interest or urgency when it comes to security issues thus pose a threat to the system. so losing a camp pass is really not as trivial as u think.
i find it very reasonable to sleep during guard duty but NOT when you are doing duty. NSF need to rest. camp pass loss is very subjective. some maybe genuine cases wallet picked at clubs with police report made. even if carelessness not to the extent of 7 extras as what TS said. not greeting officers and getting extras for that. if commissioned officers its depends on the situation. some 2LT are reasonable this is unit not BMT. if its warrant officers just fuck off. i dont bother 2 greet them.

most probably a wannabe, for now. His tone of talking doesnt seem like he's been matured by the grinding that this society gives. If we ever see a change in his tone, then we can probably change our assumptions. haha
i dont have much respect for sgts or warrant officers. i have seen SSG showing NSF 3rd finger when the latter couldnt ans his question. that NSF was newly posted. i also know of 3SG asking a PTE to knock it down in unit for small mistake. i find it absurd.

wah!
I'll rather go to war with most warrant officers than 2LTs... haha

well.. loss of pass is serious la i would say.. the subjectivity in this case would not apply to the loss of pass, but to how many punishment your superior wanna give.. its the extra effort you put in to prevent the various types of conditions that you will lose your pass, but there are some environmental factors that we cant avoid and hence lose the pass. That, we call it suay..
every morning the sgts and warrant officers only know how 2 go for breakfast and the NSF doing everything. some of them obviously using rank to bully others. but nobody has used rank on me in NS.

loss of pass should be punished but in TS case, 7 extras is absurd. sleeping during guard duty? all the guards take turns to do their duty. when they finish duty they have the right to sleep, rest or watch tv. unless it is sleeping when you are on duty. thats a different case.

totally agreed. There is a reason for camp pass being a control item. Perhaps it is really easy to replace the pass physically, but what-if something happens, especially in this terriorist age context. Compare losing our passports, and have it falling into wrong hands. Just replace only ma, right?
