Question about NS deferment.

I know that if you go to the Junior College or Polytechnic, you have to serve NS before you're allowed to further your studies. My question is, if you were to jump straight to University (overseas) right after Secondary School, are you still allowed to defer, then serve upon completion of your tertiary education?

Yes. You are allowed. But take note. you may want to think carefully about this. The army makes a person duller and stupider. I'm probably going to have to go around asking my relatives to lend me money. It's definately more worth it for me to spend those 2 years working of my debt though, than to waste 2 years as a damn clerk and getting taunted and made fun off by everybody in the army. The worst part would be how I wouldn't get the pay boost that guys get, due to the fact that they have to serve NS. -

NS is no longer serving the nations protecting our own fellow singaporeans but instead is meant to defend a gold mine meant for foreigners and prcs so that they can continue leeching on our nations wealth safely here.... while we singapore boys have to go chiong sua jiak sai..tonnes and toones of prcs will flock in to leech on our island...

Regarding the change in IC and all, well it's not really that big a deal. $120 for a name change, $60 to change your photo + name + sex in your IC. Could get it all done in a couple of hours.
