Really? I liked the mee goreng from the Malay stall. Delightfully sinful.
As for the books, well.... can't be helped. I remember having to buy an A5 sized notebook for the lectures. The paramedic phase was extremely study-intensive..... but I remember the medic spec phase was much easier. Then again, they might have changed the format.... I took the course five years ago, after all.
Whatever the case, be prepared to do lotsa studying. I won't say that the course is idiot-proof, but with a decent level of effort, you should be able to pass the tests.
