anyway he also cannot be too thin mah...wait not enough fats/muscles to cushion the G-forces he's pulling in his plane. The flightsuit will help...but its not doing 100% of the work.
True...

I can count BG Wong Huat Sern, BG Voon Tse Chow and BG Charles Sih who were not scholars but got their one Star during their Base Comd tour (was BG Wong's 2nd). Hence, rank attainment is based on appointment. BG is an ROA for SAFOS scholars but not an exclusive entity.
On the contrary, it is harder attaining your star due to the size of the service. ADA will have a one star... majority of your stars will come from fixed wing. It is less easy for a rotary wing or transport pilot to get his star, And I am talking on the tip of the iceberg. How about that??
I also have to add that the phenomenon i described (high no. of one star positions and very small no. of regulars and super duper small no. of SAFOS scholars) is peculiar to air force, so i still don't think my original statement was totally invalidated, since air force is merely one of three services, and not even the biggest. I stand by it, and i think most people in SAF and out of it do. If you know anything abt the other 2 you will know what I'm talking abt.

You're absolutely right. My friends in SAF tell me that pilots are normally built a bit stout and fattish. They told me the reason but i forgot why.
Does this mean there's a minimum fat requirement? "Sorry you're too small, not fat enough". hehe
not really lehh my cousin's a pilot at 145th heard him say that he did training like pulling up weights up to 7 times their body weight which is a physically demanding task to the body .But most F-16 pilots are really stout and fattish except for a few . I think i'm taller then the CPT lester fair in the black knights LOL !

I think its more like fit to withstand G-forces rather than fat for the sake of it...
"not fat enough" seems a little funny...but I cant really imagine bones and all taking on the G-forces...
I saw a pic of all the black knight pilots in I-weekly. I must say that Phillip is the fattest among them, so perhaps he is not representative of the typical "size" of a RSAF pilot.
