overcoming the fear of low ramp

is there anyway to overcome the fear of jumping low ramp? or anywhere to train when we book out? i really wanna pass my SOC in unit, and not let my commanders f me to pass.

Seriously, you can clear the zig-zag log & jacob's ladder but still have a problem with the ramp? Can't be a height phobia then. Is it the landing part, i.e. into soft sand/earth? Focus 100% on technique, lah; your mind is usually too fatigued to think about anything else by that stage.
Sarimbun Scout Camp has such a ramp, I believe. If you can't go there to practice, I suppose any playground which has sand & a log-lifting station to jump off from will do. Never mind the strange looks from others ~lol~

Probably you can yell out as you do the run-up before the leap from the low ramp. i find the jacobs ladder and the zig zag one more jialat leh..
of course shout ur coy's name when land la.

the zigzag bridge i also scared, but that 1 is just dropping down so not so bad. but low ramp must jump ma...drop down = eat cont wire. i scared of the height and thats why everytime i jump with SBO, i will end up throwing my weapon far cause my fingers will let go of it...then tio gan a lot of times liao. so now even more scared.

the zigzag bridge i also scared, but that 1 is just dropping down so not so bad. but low ramp must jump ma...drop down = eat cont wire. i scared of the height and thats why everytime i jump with SBO, i will end up throwing my weapon far cause my fingers will let go of it...then tio gan a lot of times liao. so now even more scared.
Then, as suggested, the momentum during the run-up shall be key. The propulsion will always carry you forward, so always leap off decisively & follow-through in your technique.
If it's any consolation, the injuries I've associated with that obstacle tend to related to slack rifle handling of the rifle (eg. ramming it against your face as you land). Or the steel helmet thrusting forward & breaking the nose due to poor strapping, back in the old days. -
Keep your equipment taut at all times.

just jump dont look down don stop but i always leg soft liao after everything my rifle will soak in the sand LOL sibeh jia lat need to clean after that... i run up balancing log jacob ladder and low ramp 1 just don't stop can le. for me its still rope.... rope always kill me... other ppl i see is swing trainer aka monkey bar...

hmm...just look far beyond the conc wire...and jump off....concentrate on landing ur ankles correctly...dun look directly below...u'll scare urself...but dun look too far either...concentrate on leaping off...and just do it.

Just train to be fitter. You will overcome it since it is not a matter of height, but a matter of tiredness.

Hmm..... seriously, if you can clear the Jacob's Ladder, then the ramp shouldn't be a problem at all.
Just take a deep breath and jump forward to make sure that you clear the concertina wire.
And upon landing.... land on the ball of your feet and bend your knees. This will greatly reduce the chances of injury. -
exhalation during landing...bend ure knees....watch the con wire....
and dont stop upon landing....very hard to pickup ure speed after landing should u stop after jumping from the low ramp -
low ramp is the one with the con wire?
if that's the one you're talking about then just run and jump down!
don't even think about the height.
