I've a friend in field defence squadron, the RPs of Air base. I think the training for both sea soldiers and FDS will be the same. Basicially it's like a Adv Infantry training. Learn to dig a lot of stuffs, trench, fire trench a lot of digging. You'll learn plt and section live firing. I think maybe fibua with plt and section movement. It's a tough course.
But after pop from course, just do guard duty till ord and shift work cuz no one in navy will do guard duty, only you guys. Then depending on your PC, you'll have turnouts. But since it's navy, it might be different. -

Regulars usually will be spec or officers, so their extra is just be the DO or the COS or equivalent. Very seldom will kena guard duty one.

They man the RHIBs and perform support for shipboarding ops as well.
One of the skills taught is firing from a RHIB while on the move. -

nope. my friend just poced from ssc (sea sold course). he was botak throughout the whole course. lol somehow the encik want all botak.

after poc my friend posted to tuas naval base, he say damn relax, no need lbv helmet or rifle basically just stand there somemore got air con bunk and offices
