i recieved a ICT make up training dated 15/12/2007 HELP!

My ICT is from 14th jan 2008 to 5th feb 2008. It 's a make up training for my defered ICT in sept 2007 (new employment).
I have a certification exam around 5th Feb 2008 (one day) and I never expect that this ICT will come so fast and long..
I need advice that what are my chances of getting a deferment or what should i do?
note that my preivous oc/co should not be invovled as its a MUT now .. thanks...

get ur employer to send the letter for u... then add in the exam certification...

Bear in mind that ICT are supposed to be notified 6 months before hand...

Everyone sure got something up when they are called for ICT. Its an interruption to your normal routine. The Government recognise this, the SAF recognise this, but somehow some people some where does not.
Have you ever come across someone who tells you : "Wow, my ICT timing so good, just nice got nothing to do !"
You can't expect another 6 months' notice for MUT when you are a deferment case. How much time do you give the unit to respond to your request for deferment ? Give and take, lah. -

My hunch is the unit will release you only on the test day. Particularly since since you're saying it's due on the last day of ICT anyway, i.e. outprocessing time (could be a half-day or early release). Your SI cell can easily make arrangements to discharge 1-2 days earlier, provided you've cleared all the IPPT & stuff. I myself has experienced this before, although it was to facilitate NUS-NTU reservists returning for the first day of semester term.
You can try applying for deferment if the certification is directly work-related. If it's not, i.e. just a course you're taking on your own, you may have to resign to reporting for ICT (even if it means taking your textbooks out into the field for self-studying). *shrug* Suck thumb, loh. But it's really up to the CO, who must have persuasive evidence to dispense with you.
