taking rifles out of tekong

juz wondering who those ppl who came out of tekong with everything on - camo, fieldpack, rifle, lbv.... they all walked thru the SFT metal detector like nobody's business, red lights keep flashing and the RP didnt even stop them.
they all hv diff ranks, so cant really tell why they can bring their rifles out... -
they just finished their outfield/training in tekong maybe...

the prior difference is on authorised or unauthorised...
rifles are eventually authorised to be out of camps to jungles/forests of lim chu kang, marsiling... etc. -
Could be external units training on tekong.......but to be passing through the metal detectors, means the soldiers are heading for the fastcraft?
When i went there for training, i took the vessel used for transporting vehicles. I think all units used that since they most probably bringing tonners with them. And the jetty we dock on was different and didnt had sensors.
Weird...could be change of guard duty personnel as well. -

those people are from units in singapore going over there for field camp or out field training. of cos their rifle is with them lah.

Tekong is obviously not just used for BMT, active and NS units for there for training and field camp as well, nothing secret. SAF even built a new field camp just so that we can camp there for up to weeks...
Of course, they bring rifle in/out la...their rifles are drawn from their unit, of course must bring there and bring back.
RP didn't even do anything, shocking meh? use ur brain la...they are fellow soldiers went there for training, check what shit? Check whether their SAR-21 is toy or real meh? of course its real la...

I'd participated in a midnight amphibious assault on a ulu Tekong beach before (from Hendon side on the mainland), during my one attachment with the CDOs.
Still think this has no place on a public message board, if it's something witnessed recently. -

No, classified info & restricted info are different things. It may be okay to take photos during a field EX, but better get your commander's permission before publishing or distributing them soon after. Same goes for any recent operations you happened to witness, before discussing it online.
That said, it's good to know the replies to this thread have been circumspect so far.
