FBO load

Been wondering about something that has plagued me for a long time since BMT.
What IS the total weight of that goshdarn field pack, SBO, rifle and everything that's required to be in them? Rifle weight should be easy, but I've never had the chance to weigh all the other crap. -
not sure about the total weight. 20kg is it?
but anyway the rifle will be sling on, and when done properly, it doesn't make much of a difference as in the weight. -
10 kg oni.. for field pack but usually filled with canned food...in supply tonner oni..
alice pack can go up to 20kg...
my lbv can sometimes weigh 2-3kg if i mad...5..

I found the following info online, from a "All-Terrain Personal Load Carrier" design competition by DSTA for Poly students back in 2001. Re-edited to fit the format here:-
Conventionally, military personnel are given a backpack to contain their combat/field/personal supplies. Military personnel wear/carry these backpacks by slinging-around-and-over their shoulders. Items contained within the pack include:-

*The Full Battle Order would include the Skeletal Battle Order, Combat Ration & Field Pack.

*The existing standard backpack measures 300 mm (width) x 400mm (height) x 200 mm (thickness) and weighs 9.19 kg (when packed full).

alot of people think that soldiers hump their field packs during outfield..
while its actually in the combat train...
its bring wat u need actually..
bring the bare necessities...and dont bitch about it when on the move -
27kg+16kg....
and that is not counting a lot more stuff

The load will vary depending on where you go, but it will still be heavier than that. For the basic combat load on the LBV, add a 3 kg water bag and goretex at least. For field pack throw in PT Kit and Shoes, sand bags, candles, lighter etc etc and usually either 48 or 72 hr rations. + we don't usually just carry 1 contact rate. Frankly, I'm skeptical that the Basic Combat Load (webbing plus its assorted equipment) weighs 10.16 kg. Unless the wearer is suspending a changkul on his belt or something ~lol~

though i think they put only 24hrs rations. And there's another 24hr rations in the SBO.
I would reckon total combat load would be around 30kgs which is standard and honestly speaking hasnt really changed since Roman times.
