SAF Helmet

Kevlar was the first material by Dupont, after steel helmet. Subsequently, re-engineered, back-engineered, counter-engineered, came Twaron, Spectra. I think there are a couple more similar materials for the ballistic helmets. I thought we always refer to the SAF issues as "kevlar helmets"? Even though it's not strictly correct. Kevlar is the material; we don't have a local equivalent name for the helmet itself, ala the Americans & their Pasgt.
Maybe he's thinking about a RSAF flight helmet?
There's another one ...... the Cyalume stick (pronounced 'sai-loom') although they are no longer bought by the Army.
Same like Colgate ........... instead of toothpaste. -
check with immigration branch? they might know a thing or two..as to whether you can bring a helmet out of SG, esp if it's a mil one

On a more serious note, you might want to try contacting the singapore embassy of the dangerous country that you are visiting and see if they help you in any way? -

anybody have problems with the saf helmet? somehow i can never get the helmet to fit firmly to my head. it seems like its somehow loose however i adjust it.
