Awhile more...Originally posted by stellazio:bmt still m16 la..
although my oc said that awhile more, bmt will also get sar already.
Compared to stooky, your english.. thumbs upOriginally posted by rooki:SAR21 or M16, nothing beats the trusty old flintlock musket.
And AR-15 too.Originally posted by tarutaru:RSAF also using M16.
Should train every soldier to use M16 'cos it is the foundation for M203 also.Originally posted by specialOps:Probably in BMT, they want every soldier to be able to handle a M-16...since they have a stockpile , literally hundreds of thousands of them...
Counter strike source unit?!?!!?Originally posted by aknoo123:well... as far as i know logistics still using M16 la.. i am trained in both and seriously both have their good pts and bad pts la... its up to personal preference i guess. most combat units all using SAR 21 liao lor... cept some little CSS units like us who keep using M16

Carbine is still in svc with the navy and it is my favourite small-arms weapon I've handled so far.Originally posted by blitzonic:Is the Carbine AR-15 still in service? 21 SA used them in my time (very good for SOC ~lol~) yet my sister unit, 41 SAR, ironically stuck with M-16s despite also operating in armored vehicles like M113s like us.

mmm what is ur appointment?Originally posted by blitzonic:Man, you've should've been there when the infantry peng eyeballed me & my carbine whenever I was attached to them. Must've looked like a special-forces soldier to them, but for my PRC-77 set ~lol~
mmm what is ur appointment?~lol~ Nothing extraordinary, lah. I was a FO or FSO TA, depending on attachment. Mostly involved carrying signal set for the officer to call for artillery fire, though my FSO also informally taught me fire-mission tactics & sometimes allowed me to execute it on the fly (registrations, H&I's, TOTs, adjustment fires, FFEs) while trekking towards the "firefight". All simulations, of course. In the real thing, there's always a trainer following you & insisting on SOPs.

then women get wat?
Don't understand.Originally posted by blitzonic:I was just in a unique position cuz my unit issued Carbines, unlike other Arty outfits & their FO/FSO teams with their ubiquitous M16s. Very cool-looking weapon for those unfamiliar with it: much shorter, different handguard design & with a collapsible butt. Some more, I'd always slung it "barrel down", even for SOC, which was the opposite recommendation for the M16 (too long to do the same).
