In a way yes. NS does make you go nuts. Just imaging, Having to do two years NS, and then afterwards, ten years reservist and IPPT cycle, you've got to be the biggest liar in the world if you say you haven't went nuts!

Before ORD,NS very sian,time go very slow but it does not make me go nuts,just wasting my time.
After ORD,complete my Uni,start working,i realise NS very slack compare to working,NS no stress at all,you just have to follow orders,you don't really have to perform well,but when come to work,everyday you have to perform very well just ton secure your job,this is much more STRessful THAT driving me nuts!!!! -

I remember a fren of mine went to combat engineer after BMT for training. He cannot take the training n went screaming in the middle of the night.
