so any medics or patients been there before during ur NS days?
if u were a patient there, why were u admitted there? how long did u stay there? share ur experience
then if u were a medic, how long were u stationed there? any experiences with the patients? tell us.... -

I heard ppl get sent there for observation .
If confirmed psychosis or mental illness , get discharge . -

ever stay there for 3 days before, kinda sian and boring.... but,... medic down there quite ok, they do take care of me.......

My uncle's son was deemed unfit for NS after the SAF ward doctor ruled out any form of pretence of mental illness .
he went NS with no prevaling mental illness .
they return u pink IC , give exemption notice with date and number . ( My frenz developed Schizophrenia after he went in NS . )
but they gt to c his parents , tell him y his son tio exempted .
wait for medical board to make PES offical .
then give exemption notice .
He eventually became well ....... -
if you are lucky, you will have PES E, if you are even more luckier, you will get PES F, depends on whether that colonel will give you PES E or notOriginally posted by goldevil:wah .

then depends on how you convince that colonel lor, oh between, that colonel is head of shrink, so do be tactful, and try to convince to them, how serious your case can be, given the fact that you have the background, so it shouldn't be a problem, i am quite surprise that you never got PES E, your status is temp or perm?Originally posted by goldevil:I want PES E .

that colonel is a shrink, himself.............. and last time, my PES E status also given by a colonel, i seen 3 MO and waited for almost 1 year under temp D until one day, i meet one colonel, and he give me PES E.Originally posted by goldevil:I want PES E .

CMPB shrink give me PES C de .
Cos my condition is that i have GAD when I was in sec school but now my condition has been under control for a few years .
I do flare up ocasionally .
by right mental should be temp, when it expires , u go up , no change or down after it expires according to my psychiatrist who has some NS man as his patients .

But I am nt physically fit so when chances are I will have panic attack in my BMT . I always have panic attack under great stress .
I can only do 3 pulllups , 2.4 just pass , sittups abt 40 in 1 min , shuttle run fail , SBJ 230 ......
I know the SAF ward because my uncle's son tio send there .
I think his case is serious , sent there 1 week for the first time and he gt discharged .
He never act . -
I like to know if servicemen during their active days have been to SAF Ward or downgraded for this psychiatric problem, will they have any difficulty in getting
work once they left the service? -

school also face problems .
the school application form nid to attach a copy enlistment exemption notice with time and date .
government sector impossible .
but 1 gd point of PES F is no nid exit permit when going overseas for a long period of time . -

I can understand why pte/govt sector would hire a Pes F, if you cannot be fit for clerical work whatelse can u do.

but i think every real life workplace also nt so tough as army .
that time go ns gt hallucination and memory loss .
he was diagnosed with serious pyschosis disorder .
he is like cant really function under military condition .
after he left army , he was ok .
mental act still gt hope to get employed .
if pes F due to physical problems cannot work liao . -
