I prefer Tekong food to my camp's food.Originally posted by Gordonator:yes i noticed that too. the food SFI prepares are indeed not nutritious at all. soup too salty, too many deep fried food, syrup too sweet etc.
but then again at least in my opinion they are better than tekong food which are nutritious yes, but tasteless.
Thats becos SFI quotes the most competitive prices. SFI produces Farmpride chicken nuggets. Yum Yum!Originally posted by Rock^Star:Who's the supplier? SFI and it's a monopoly. Forget about any feedback to them. Wayang only, like our govt.
Singapore Food Industries - most probably the CEO is linked to the Lee family. (Don't quote me; just an assumption)
How does one explain their stay as the supplier for donkey years?
What has that got to do with the Tax issue?Originally posted by tokyofire:I pay Tax, u pay Tax, everyone pay Tax, We ALL pay Tax. But the food they are serving us dont justify the Tax what we reservist entitled.

And no, the CEO isnt linked to the Lee family. Its just that Temasek Holdings own 69.9% of SFI.
IMO, SFI has a very important responsibility of supplying trusted food to the SAF. SAF shldnt allow any other caterers to supply food for security reasons.
SFI is owned by Temasek. Temasek is owned by the Government. Then government is owned by which family? U noe wat I mean la. hahaOriginally posted by shade343:Thats becos SFI quotes the most competitive prices. SFI produces Farmpride chicken nuggets. Yum Yum!

What are you complaning about? What if a company of unknown and untrusted origins wins the tender to supply food to SAF? What if the company was own by an entity that wanted to sabotage SAF? Do you fancy the entire SAF suffering from food poisoning? There is a price to pay for security and peace of mind.Originally posted by sbst275:The last part is
Dosen't it sound like a cartel? The tender is for what?

You might as well ask for cordial drinks with vitamin C.Originally posted by Hidden^OnE:1 thing I really have problem with is cordial.
Why serve us colored sugar water? Milk or soya milk would be so much better. Anytime, anyday.
Well I like my food to be fried and oily, so should I ask the army to prepare fried and oily food every day ?Originally posted by Simon Dean:To:freakass
Its the year 2007 not 1967 , people should be more aware of healthy food.
The threadstarter has already mentioned that he does not mind if its BLAND but is NUTRITIOUS.My, do you even read properly before jumping the gun.
Unlike the typical Singaporean who eats what suits his palate, the threadstarter is eating as a means of healthy living.
