Hi~ I'm new here.. =) At last i found a sgforum talking about witchcrafts... =D
I wana be a wiccan, how do i go upon doing it?? =) I often tell myself that I'm a witch already though i duno the basic steps to go about being a witch myself. I make charms using mini crystals and sometimes chant spells to myself to give myself confidence and such..
So..... maybe someone can tell mi the next step?? =) Thanx~ =D
And also, should i learn the basic knowledge of history of wicca, goddess, etc.. before proceeding to next step?? =) -

Well Harry Potter do have some truth in it, at least the names of Demons are real so are some of the spells & incantations which are of Ancient origins. Try calling the Demonic names cited in Harry Potter aloud few times if you are sensitive enough, you can feel changes in energies around & if you got the gift of sight you may see entities. Again i do not encourage anyone to do that. By doing a spell or two doesn't make you a witch, you can only be deem as a dabbler! Anyway to become one require serious pondering coz once you are on the Path there is no turning back! So Choose Wisely!

Agreed. To take upon this path is not a decision to be lightly treated. Know your motives, intent and what you are after. Be honest to yourself. Things have a strange way of happening on this path, and once you decided on it, there is no turning back...
Not necessary to have the whole wiccan history memorised. As long as you have an idea what happened. The key figures in wicca. Personally, I feel that it'd be more than enough. Afterall, being a witch is about how you live your life. Not about how much you can remember of the past. Not that the past doesn't matter, but that witchcraft is all about how you can/would incorporate the craft in your life.

Hmm.. I just wonder, is there any restrictions like we cannot pray or hold incense sticks like christians.. But im a buddhist.. Before i decided to go into wicca, i was a free thinker but i still pray when my parents tell mi to do so. Like say, my grandma past away, i pray to her, but i duno if it is wrong to do so now.. =/ -
Also, just to share with all of u too.. =D I read books by L.J.Smith and actually started to become interested with wicca thru these books.. The books are about alittle romance and more of wicca, vampires, werewovles, shapeshifters.
I was kinda thinking is L.J.Smith a wiccan too? Cos i realise most of parts she wrote about wicca are true from what i find out from the internet. Many wiccans around the world like the books written by L.J.Smith.. including mi =) Search night world in yahoo, u will see alot of wiccan fans out there.. =D
I also asked my friend in malaysian who also interested in wicca about vampires.. he say there ARE vampires except that they dun drink blood but they take away people's energy.. isit true?? =)
He also told mi that he n his friends practice crafts by taking off clothes.. so to be more close to the nature.. But this is optional rite?? =) -

One thing though, wicca do at times involve ancestral worship. So in fact, I would encourage you to pray to your grandmom. You may have decided on this path, but no harm learning about others. There's a great number of things to learn from other postitve religion such as taoism, buddhism and yes, christianity
You'll never know what you can learn from them that can help you understand your practice and aid you on your path -
