Merry Meet to all,
Some of the Goddesses of the Ancients are mentioned in the Bible, I found these interesting so want to share with all of you! This is pure sharing of informations that i received from my friend who is residing in US & nothing more, drop a line of two of comments if you like!

Great Goddess Diana
In the New Testament (King James Version) Acts 19:27-28 states:
( vs27 ) "So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at
nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth."
( vs28 )"And when they (the Ephesians) heard these sayings, they were full of wrath and cried out saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians."
Then further down it continues in verses 34-37, which state: "But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with on voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said. Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter. Seeing then that these things cnnont be spokend against, ye ought to be quiet and do nothing rashly. For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess"
In the Old Testament In First Kings 11:33 it states "because they have forsaken me and worshipped Ash'toreth (who is sometimes linked with Artemis) the goddess of the Zidonians"

True...Astoreths and Diana are a few pagan goddessess mentioned in the Scriptures. That does NOT mean that the Bible promote goddess worship. Read into the context, the people were judged by God when they turn to these false gods.

Well i already stated these are only informations SHARING & nothing more! Don't think any of the statements in my post indicate that the Bible promote goddess Worship! We should always perceive things with open heart & mind!

"MISQUOTE".......... maybe thats a wrong term to use! Remember "Assumption is Roots to all Evil", I also understand your Staunch beliefs & concern about readers, overly reaction & non receptive towards views & informations ain't too healthy! The Old Testament: Ecclesiastes 10:12; Proverbs 15:1, 4; 21:23

thanks for ur explanation and apologies of any offences have been made. I am not promoting a legalistic christianity because God is love. The foundation of Christian salvation of love and grace, never condemnation.
In times like this when even Christian bookstores sell books like 'the missing gospels' and so on...u cant really blame me for putting a foot in situations like this. As far as we preached Christ being the love of God demonstrated and His immeasurable love for us, doctrinally we need to be sound...but while doing so we should not offend the others. How to point out to someone who is 'wrong' and not offending that person? well...some are more open hearted to accept, others will hate ur religion even more.
