It's a program to associate files, which is to give the file an extension, like .jpg, .gif and whatsoever that is known to Windows.Originally posted by StarPuppy:ya lor..u have more intresting life than me

Win XPOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:It's a program to associate files, which is to give the file an extension, like .jpg, .gif and whatsoever that is known to Windows.
Just curious, on what OS did your friend run this file? Because it works only systems before Windows 2000.
He can't go into Safe Mode because he's slow or that his PC is branded, not DIY...
If it's not DIY, has to look up user manual to enter Safe Mode...
Windows XP...Originally posted by StarPuppy:Win XP

hmm...and i told him to go to tick diagonstic startupOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Windows XP...
Make sure that he is fast.
When he presses the power button and hear the PC beep, tell him to press F8 immediately.
Press until he sees the boot menu. Use up down arrows and select Safe Mode.
And it's not true that he's slow. He never read...
Another method is via MSCONFIG.[*]Close all open programs.
[*]Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG in the box and click OK
[*]The System Configuration Utility appears, On the BOOT.INI tab, Check the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and then click OK and Restart your computer when prompted.
[*]The computer restarts in Safe mode.
[*]Perform the troubleshooting steps for which you are using Safe Mode. When you are finished with troubleshooting in Safe mode, open MSCONFIG again, on the BOOT.INI tab, uncheck "/SAFEBOOT" and click OK to restart your computer.
If never follow instructions and Windows crash... not my dai ji...
Me not at his computer, can't guarantee anything.
he trying to arrow someoneOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Hey bonta, what are you trying to say?
Nth much... juz trying to recall da scenario where Gandalf ordered a volley of arrows at the orcs and goblins in Da Lord of the Ring.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Hey bonta, what are you trying to say?
Diagnostic startup is for diagnostics. You uncheck everything and tick everything back one by one until you hit a problem. It's not meant as a substitute for Safe Mode.Originally posted by StarPuppy:hmm...and i told him to go to tick diagonstic startup
i told him to tap f8 quickly as soon as he on the computer..but to no avail
what happens if u dun untick safeboot? always restart at safe mode arh?
