What is DÃa de los Muertos?
DÃa de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead is a celebrated Ritual in Mexico and certain parts of the United States, including the Valley. It was a ritual the indigenous people had been practicing at least 3,000 years that falls on October 31, November 1,November 2, Dia de los Agelitos.
Celebrations are held each year in Mesa, Chandler, Guadalupe and at Arizona State University. Although the ritual has since been merged with Catholic theology, it still maintains the basic principles of the Aztec ritual, such as the use of skulls.
The Aztecs and other Meso-American civilizations kept skulls as trophies and displayed them during the ritual. The skulls were used to symbolize death and rebirth.
The skulls were used to honor the dead, whom the Aztecs and other Meso-American civilizations believed came back to visit during the monthlong ritual.

Well many are not receptive about Voodoo/Spirit Dolls. The Media Portrayal has given Voodoo a bad name & infamous impression to the Masses. However, these are not true, misintepretations by the Masses are caused by Misrepresentation by the Media.
The truth is Voodoo & Spirit dolls are mainly for good & positive use as in healing, protection & many more. The fact is they can be used for just about any purpose. It is the practitioner who works the doll. Benevolent or Malevolent intent comes from the heart of the magickian, not the doll.
