Let me start by giving a short introduction about Voodoo.
What is Voodoo, Voudou, Vodu, Vodun?
The Magick performed based on an Ancient Religion from a distant land. What we today call Voodoo and think of as mere superstition was actually an animist religion called Vodu or Voudou, originating in West Africa with the Yoruba tribe and on the Caribbean island Saint Domingue. It had arrived in New Orleans during the French colonial period with the slave trade. In 1718, Nouvelle Orleans was founded by the Quebecois explorer Bienville, and from those early days this belief in spirits and the power of nature had been the strength of the enslaved. Eventually, even the Europeans and the Creoles in New Orleans (natives of European origin, French and Spanish) came to fear Voodoo. The leaders in Voodoo were the male doctors (like Dr. John) and the female queens(like Marie Laveau) who eventually reigned supreme in New Orleans.
All Voodoo is said to have roots in the West African spirit-based, snake-worshiping, animist faith called "Vodu" (possibly from the Dahomey tribe); Vodu was a term which meant "the gods." Animism was a belief in spirits who lived in nature and resided in natural objects, such as in trees.

hmmm interesting.... most people's knowledge about voodoo probably limited to what is shown in popular media..... use a doll...put someone's hair or something on it.... poke here poke there.. and the person whom the doll is supposed to represent also feel pain..
most probably dun realise there are also voodoo dolls which are representative of deities who can help you with ur magickal doings -

The Media Portrayal has given Voodoo a bad name & infamous impression to the Masses. However, these are not true, misintepretations by the Masses are caused by Misrepresentation by the Media.
The truth is Voodoo & Spirit dolls are mainly for good & positive use as in healing, protection & many more. The fact is they can be used for just about any purpose. It is the practitioner who works the doll. Benevolent or Malevolent intent comes from the heart of the magickian, not the doll. None of the Voodoo or Spirit Dolls neither other items should be feared at all as they are all made, blessed & charged with "Positive Good Energy" to aid you in your needs & desires.

Its not necessarily the case that there are intrinsically good or intrinsically evil energies...
energy and matter are all tabula rasa.. a clean slate.... its a question of how u choose to manipulate and use the forces and the energy that will decide the outcome...
Nonetheless its easier to understand things in black and white....
hence voodoo often ends up portrayed on the negative side of things... Open your mind to the possibilities you can achieve with the different tools available.... -

That Bast is a spirit doll, no longer available its sold already. If you really interested can make a pre-paid order however it may not look the same as the one in the picture, i will ask the Mambo High Priestess to create a new one for you.
